News and Events

Now that I own a car that gets people's attention, I find that I actually get requests for appearances. Weird and cool at the same time. This is also where I'll post "news" about the team or car that aren't tied to a specific race week-end.

10 May 09	Yep, it's confirmed: I'm "on the beach" for the 2009 season. I will be driving the pace car for the Pro3 class at the three races at Pacific Raceways, but that's the closest I'll get to driving on the track this season. On the other hand, the new Euro-style karting track at Pacific Raceways just opened, so I imagine I'll be there a few times this year.
28 September 08	The car won't be there, nor will I be racing, but I will be driving my street car as the pace car for IRDC's "Final Dash of 2008."
9 November - 11 November 07	IJS Motorsport is proud to sponsor Scott Norton and his BMW 325-based "M3 Lightweight" at the Redline: Time Attack! championship finals at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California.
29 July 07	Appearing at the BMW CCA Puget Sound Region "27th Annual Concours d'Elegance and BMW Heritage Picnic," which this year features the E36 M3. The car will be there in a display-only class: What kind of nutso is willing to clean a racecar with a Q-tip? Event begins at 9:30am and concludes around 3pm at Cedar River Park in Renton. Sponsored by BMW Seattle and featuring food by 3B's BBQ.
9 June 07	Sponsor event at CarbConn, where BMW CCA Puget Sound Region is having a dyno day and barbecue. I probably won't be there, but the car will be. Event begins at 10am with lunch at noon. Carb Connection 13611 NE 126th Place, Suite 240 Kirkland WA 98034 425-820-1877
26 May 07	IJS Motorsport is honored to welcome Accurate Engines as a new sponsor. Mike Kolbet and his crew do engine work for a lot of local race teams, including a large chunk of the Pro-3 crowd. 20 January 07	Race-themed banquet for BMW CCA Puget Sound Region featuring member racecars. The car was one of five parked out front to "greet" attendees: A 2002, an E30 325, my E36 M3, an E24 M6, and an E36/8 M Coupe.
